Buying a Diamond Ring
It is always a nervy time when proposing to your loved one, and though it is impossible for anyone to make things easier, there are certain things can make it memorable. Once such way, is to present a stunningly set and styled solitaire diamond ring. Selecting just the right one is not always uncomplicated either though.
The instant appeal of such a ring is going to be focused on the diamond itself of course, and with that in mind, it is necessary to take into consideration the 4 C’s. Standing for; Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat, they are the factors that don’t just make up the price, but also the allure, allure and attitude. The cut is important, but this is something that can be tailored to suit the recipient’s personality.
Though it is widely believed that diamonds are white, or clear, this is seldom the case. A completely pure diamond, the most expensive, will be graded D. However, the range with yellow hues strengthening carries right down to Z, with prices falling accordingly. The clearest available may not be the best, so thought is needed here.
The clarity of the diamond will be the single most vital factor to the price of the diamond. Essentially referring to the purity of the stone, this determines how well light is reflected through. As a rule of thumb, the fewer number of inclusions in the stone, the greater the light returned.
It is easy to suppose that a diamond’s carat is indicative of its quality; this is not the case. It merely is representative of the weight of the stone. Whilst a large rock on the finger will have a wow appeal, it does not automatically guarantee quality, beauty or appeal. Price here can vary considerably.
Once a choice over the stone has been made, it will be time to get the style of ring and setting arranged. In essence, this should unquestionably be made together with the bride to be. A solitaire diamond engagement ring will always be esteemed, but knowing it is something she truly desires will be ideal.
